Introducing The Hayes Family, Malawi

Gordon, Lucy and Harrison live in Bvumbwe in the southern region of Malawi. As a family they run the Dzanja La Chifundo Trust orphanage and child support programmes run entirely on support from individuals and organizations both within Malawi and abroad.

At present they directly support approximately 50 children, 30 of whom live at the orphanage. The others are cared for in a home-based support programme, which provides schooling support, food and other needs. This year they will be increasing the scope of help as they begin work on a community centre that will provide nutrition, education and other support for children from the surrounding villages, market and schools.
